Late entries may be accepted to the range capacity. Entries are limited to 64 competitors. Be sure to indicate your correct NRA classification, and NRA member number. Make entries by contacting Tom by mail, phone, or e-mail. (See “Information” above)MATCH FEES: Adults - $40.00; Juniors - $30.00. You may mail your individual entry with the correct fees to Tom Thompson at the above address, or register on site. Make checks payable to BMRPA. These fees include a $9.00 NRA registration fee and all taxes.SQUADDING: Squadding for the Regional Long Range Individual Championship will be from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM, Saturday, at the Club House.TIME OF FIRING: The 2019 Northern Great Plains Long Range Regional Championship will commence firing at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 7th. The first three of five matches will be fired on Saturday. Matches four and five will be fired Sunday, September 8th, starting at 9:00 AM. All times are CDT.SOUVENIR PINS: Will be given to each individual who competes or helps with match operations.RIFLE: Any Rifle (Rule 3.2), NRA Match Rifle (Rule 3.3), Palma Rifle (Rule 3.3.3), or the Service Rifle (Rule 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2) For Open-F Class; any rifle, any sight, any reasonable support. For F-Target Rifle (F-TR), rifles must be unmodified .308 or .223 and have a rigidly attached bipod to the forearm. See NRA web site for full F-Class rules.CLASSIFICATION: The NRA Classification System will be used. Unclassified competitors will be assigned a Master Classification Rule 19.6 - Assigned Classification, or 19.2 - Temporary Classification, may be used in making entry in an NRA Regional tournament.TARGETS: NRA Official type “Long Range” will be used. F-class targets will be used for F-class.OPEN BOLT NRA High Power Rifle Rule 3.21 requires the mandatory use of Open Bolt indicators forINDICATORS: all sanctioned tournaments. They will be available from the Range Officer for $1.00.SIGHTING SHOTS: Unlimited Sighting shots (Rule 9.2a) are allowed. However, all sighting shots and record shots must be taken within the time allowed. Coaching is allowed before, but not after the first record shot.PIT AND SCORING All competitors will perform pit duty, (or provide a pit puller), as well as shoot and score.DUTIES:THE NORTHERN GREAT PLAINS LONG RANGE REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPDAY 1 - September 7th, 2019 - Firing will commence at 10:00 AM, CDTMATCH NO. 1: 1,000 Yards - PRONE - Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record in a total time limit of 30 minutes using Any Rifle/Any Sights, NRA Match Rifle, Palma Rifle, or Service Rifle.MATCH NO. 2: 1,000 Yards - PRONE - Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record in a total time limit of 30 minutes using Any Rifle/Iron Sights, NRA Match Rifle, Palma Rifle, or Service Rifle.MATCH NO. 3: 1,000 Yards - PRONE - Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record in a total time limit of 30 minutes using Any Rifle/Iron Sights, NRA Match Rifle, Palma Rifle, or Service Rifle.DAY 2 - September 8th, 2019 - Firing will commence at 9:00 AM, CDTMATCH NO. 4: 1,000 Yards - PRONE - Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record in a total time limit of 30 minutes using Any Rifle/Any Sights, NRA Match Rifle, Palma Rifle, or Service Rifle.MATCH NO. 5: 1,000 Yards - PRONE - Unlimited sighting shots and 20 shots for record in a total time limit of 30 minutes using Any Rifle/Any Sights, NRA Match Rifle, Palma Rifle, or Service Rifle.MATCH NO. 6: THE REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: An aggregate of Matches 1 - 5.THE NORTHERN GREAT PLANS LONG RANGE REGIONAL F-Open AND F-TR CLASS CHAMPIONSHIPThe F-Open AND F-TR Class Championship will be fired concurrently with the above matches. Any rifle, (rule 3.2), any sight, any reasonable support. Sandbags front and/or rear, bipods, tripods, etc. are accepted; however, no machine rests, “rail guns”, “Lead Sleds”, or return-to-battery guns are allowed. The rifle must be fired from the shoulder. (Rule 5.3) Caliber limited to less than or equal to 0.35. (Rule 3.2) No muzzle brakes are allowed. (Rule 3.16.1) F-Class targets will be used. Indicate on your entry if you wish to fire F-Class. F-Class awards will be provided.CHALLENGES: The challenge fee will be $1.00 per challenge.CATEGORIES: The Long Range Regional will be split into three categories: Conventional, F-Open (F/O, and F-Target Rifle (F/TR). A competitor may enter ONLY ONE CATEGORY. If there is less than 5 F/O or F/TR entries, these two categories will be combined. The Conventional will NOT be combined with the F-Classes.AWARD DISPOSITION: At a minimum, awards will be provided to the overall 1st (Gold), 2nd (Silver) and 3rd (Bronze) place winners in accordance with the Regional Championship Awards schedule (below). Next, class awards will be provide for each 5 competitors in the class, after the overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are taken out of the class. There must be 5 or more entries in a Class for one award, 6 - 10 entries for two awards and 11 or more entries for three awards. Classes will be combined upwards until there are at least 5 competitors in the Class. After combining, if there are fewer than 5 entries in the top class, they will fire for Match Winner awards only. If there are not enough F/O or F/TR competitors for the minimum number of competitors needed for the NRA Medallion awards (5 competitors), those categories will be combined. Categories and classes as outlined above will be maintained if possible.An individual winning a place award - Winner, Second, or Third, Open - shall be entitled to SpecialAwards for which he/she is qualified but may not win a category/class award in the same match.SPECIAL AWARDS CATEGORIES: (If 4 or more are entered in the Special Award Category) Competitor must indicate on the SR-1 entry card all special awards for which he/she is eligible.1. Junior (Rule 2.3)REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS: (Match 6)Winner: NRA Regional Gold Medallion (provided there are 5 competitors)2nd Place: NRA Regional Silver Medallion (provided there are 10 competitors)3rd Place: NRA Regional Bronze Medallion (provided there are 15 competitors)Class Medals: NRA Regional Class Medals (with minimum of 5 competitors per class)Medallions will be provided by NRA in accordance with the Regional Awards schedule. Class awards will be provided by the Bismarck/Mandan R&P Association.RANGE FACILITIES: Camping is available at the range. You can stay in our clubhouse or there is parking for trailers and RV’s. We have an outdoor bathroom and running water. Description

The outdoor range features a 1,000 yard High Power rifle range with 34 firing points, rifle and handgun silhouette ranges, cowboy action area, an 18 point bullseye pistol range, 11 concrete benchrests with target backboards at 25, 50, 100, 200 and 300 yards, indoor storage, picnic shelter, outdoor restroom and a clubhouse/classroom facility.

Construction was made possible through grants from various groups that support shooting sports in our area and the hard work of our volunteer club laborers. We express our sincere thanks to these groups and invite them to visit the range and see what they have helped to build.
