  • Georgia: Legislature Adjourns Sine Die from 2024 Session
    Last night, the Georgia Legislature adjourned sine die from its 2024 legislative session. This session, the legislature passed House Bill 1018, which prohibits the use of firearm/ammunition specific merchant category codes by payment processors. 
  • Iowa: Pro-Second Amendment Bills Eligible for Votes on the Senate Floor
    The Iowa legislature is entering the final weeks of the 2024 legislative session and pro-gun bills remain eligible for votes on the Senate floor. Contact your state senator today and urge them to support House File 2586, House File 2556, and House File 2464. These bills would implement important school security measures as part of the ongoing effort to protect our schools, provide a much-needed enforcement mechanism to Iowa’s existing firearm preemption law, and prohibit the use of merchant category codes to identify firearms, firearm accessories, and ammunition purchases.
  • Pennsylvania: House Democrats Pass More Gun Control
    Since taking the Majority in 2023, House Majority Democrats have become a one-trick-pony. They went back to the well this week for more gun control. The Democrat-controlled House passed HB 777 on a vote of 104-97. The bill targets unserialized firearms, parts, and accessories.
  • Maine: Extreme Anti-Gun Package Advances out of Committee
    On Wednesday, February 27, the Joint Standing Committee on Judiciary advanced one of the nation's most extreme gun control packages in the country.
  • Colorado: Multiple Anti-Gun Bills on the Move!
    On Wednesday, the Colorado General Assembly passed multiple gun control bills out of various committees, and they are now eligible for either a vote on the Floor of their respective chambers or have been referred to additional committees for further review.
