John Bickar
John has been a shooting competitive precision pistol since he was 13 years old. John is originally from Canton, OH, but currently resides in Menlo Park, CA. John was the 2nd civilian to ever earn the classical “Triple Distinguished” (Service Pistol, Service Rifle, and International). John made the Presidents Pistol 100 at age 15, and at age 16 became Service Pistol distinguished and a 2600 club member. This makes him the youngest ever to earn the Service Pistol Distinguished badge. He holds High Master classifications in Indoor and Outdoor Precision pistol. He had a 22-year hiatus in shooting at Camp Perry, but after coming back he has won the Presidents 100 pistol match 3 times in a row (2023, 2024 & 2025).
Hall of Fame Inductee
Neil Jensen
We will be inducting Neil Jensen into the North Dakota Shooting Sports Hall of Fame and hope you can join us. Neil has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to the shooting sports community. He is also the son of Edmond Jenson, USAF distinguished rifleman and NDSSA Hall of Fame member. We will recognize Neil’s efforts and commitment to improve the shooting sports from his home of Fargo, ND.
•
Earned USAF Distinguished rifleman badge #200 in 1985.
•
Holds High Master classifications in Across-the-course, long range and midrange rifle.
•
He was a member of the Air Force Rifle team.
•
Only father and son pair to hold USAF distinguished rifleman badges
•
Coaches’ juniors or veteran competitors, alike when on the range.
If you have shot a High-Power rifle match in the state, you probably have spoken to Neil and competed against him. He is not only a great shooter but an even better competitor, helping other competitors when they are struggling. He also helps with any rifle issues such as M1 Garands, etc.
