• New York: Gov. Kathy Hochul and Democrat Majorities Use The Budget to Adopt Gun Ban
  On Thursday, May 21, the New York Senate and Assembly used the State Budget as a vehicle to not only finance state government but also to pass a handful of their other policy priorities. 
• Illinois: Semi-Auto Glock Ban Eligible for Floor Vote
  Yesterday, the House Gun Violence Prevention Committee passed HB 4471. The bill is now eligible for a floor vote.
• Delaware: FFL Killer Bill Passes Senate, Heads to House
  Yesterday, the Senate passed SB 300.
• Alaska: Legislature Adjourns Sine Die from 2026 Session
  On May 20th, the Legislature adjourned sine die from the 2026 legislative session. 
• New Hampshire: Conferences and Final Votes on Pro-Gun Bills Next Week
  Last week, the New Hampshire Senate passed HB 609, HB  1279, and HB 1365, and the House requested Committees of Conference on all three bills.
• NRA-ILA Applauds House Passage of Veterans Protection Bill
  Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 1041, the Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act. This bill, sponsored by Chairman Mike Bost (R-IL-12) would reverse a controversial and deeply troubling policy that stripped veterans of their right to keep and bear arms without due process, simply because they have been assigned a fiduciary to help manage their Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits that they’ve earned through suffering a service-connected disability.
• Delaware: Firearms Registry and FFL Killer Bill eligible for Vote!
  SB 300, the firearms registry and FFL killer bill is now eligible for a vote in the senate.
• Cert Petition Filed in NRA-Supported Challenge to Maryland’s “Sensitive Places” Carry Restrictions
  A petition for a writ of certiorari has been filed in the NRA-supported case, Kipke v. Moore, seeking Supreme Court review of Maryland’s sweeping carry restrictions enacted under the Gun Safety Act of 2023.
• Arizona: Privacy Protection Bill Sent to Governor
  Senate Bill 1058 has been transmitted to Governor Katie Hobbs for her consideration. Please use the Take Action button below to contact Governor Hobbs and urge her to SIGN SB 1058 into law.  
• Oklahoma: Legislature Adjourns 2026 Session
  On Thursday May 14, the Oklahoma legislature adjourned the 2026 legislative session early as lawmakers hit the campaign trail ahead of the June 16 primary. With the early adjournment, several pro-gun bills fell short of the finish line, not receiving final passage.
