  • Florida: Pro-Gun Bills Advance in House and Senate Committees
    This week, the Florida House and Senate Criminal Justice Committees passed multiple pro-gun bills: House Bill 759 restores the ability for young adults to acquire firearms, Senate Bill 952 and House Bill 6025 are companion bills that further protect our Second Amendment Rights during a local state of emergency. These bills now advance to their following committee stops, and hearings could be held as early as next week. Please use the two separate Take Action buttons below to engage with legislators and encourage them to SUPPORT pro-gun legislation!
  • South Dakota: Gun-Free Zone Repeal Heads to Governor's Desk
    On Wednesday, March 11th, House Bill 1218 finished its journey in the Legislature, passing both the House and Senate as amended. It will now be transmitted to Governor Larry Rhoden's desk for his signature.
  • Arkansas: Watered Down Firearm Financial Privacy Legislation Heads to House Vote Tomorrow - Oppose It Now!
    Today, the House Insurance & Commerce Committee passed House Bill 1509 and advanced it to the House Floor, where it is eligible for a vote as soon as tomorrow. 
  • Hawaii: Gun Ban Bills Scheduled for Hearing in House Judiciary Committee
    Tomorrow, March 13th at 2:00pm the House Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing on Senate Bill 308 and Senate 401. Please consider submitting testimony OPPOSING SB 308 and SB 401 through the Hawaii Legislative website. For help creating an account and submitting testimony, click here.
  • Arizona: Pro-Gun Bills Advancing in Legislature
    Earlier today, the House Judiciary Committee voted to advance two pro-gun bills that will further protect Second Amendment rights in Arizona. Thank you to House Judiciary Chair Representative Nguyen and all committee members that voted to protect the rights of Arizona’s law-abiding gun owners!
  • Oregon Court Of Appeals Reverses Lower Court Decision, Lifts Hold on Ballot Measure 114
    On Wednesday, March 12th, the Oregon Court of Appeals reversed a lower court decision that had declared unconstitutional Ballot Measure 114, which imposed a permit-to-purchase scheme and banned the possession of magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition. The three-judge panel unanimously held that the provisions of BM 114 do not violate the Oregon state constitution.
  • Colorado: FOID Bill Passes House Judiciary With More Amendments
    Yesterday, March 11th, Senate Bill 25-003 underwent another transformation during a late-night hearing in the House Judiciary committee, ultimately passing with amendments along a party-line vote. 
  • Utah: State Legislature Adjourned Sine Die
    Last week, the Utah State Legislature adjourned sine die from its 2025 legislative session. We are happy to report that several anti-gun bills were successfully defeated this session, including Senate Bill 130, a 52-page omnibus gun control bill that would have severely restricted Second Amendment rights in Utah. Additionally, several pro-gun bills advanced from the legislature and are currently awaiting a signature from Governor Cox. Please stay tuned for additional updates on these bills as they are signed into law.
  • MA Supreme Judicial Court Holds Old Nonresident Carry Licensing Scheme Unconstitutional But Upholds New Law
    On March 11, the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts issued two decisions concerning the Commonwealth’s firearms carry licensing scheme for nonresidents.
  • New Mexico: Senate Finance Staff Reviewing Semi-Auto Bill
    Yesterday, Senate Finance committee posted that their staff is reviewing SB 279 as a part of their Wednesday meeting. While this is not a formal hearing, this could be a decision point on whether Senate Finance will take up the bill with 10 days left in session. It's critical that NRA members and Second Amendment supporters, get involved today!
