RULES:                      Current NRA Light Rifle Rules will govern.

SCORE CARDS:       Special score cards will be used and MUST FILLED OUT AT THE RANGE AND BE SIGNED BY THE COMPETITOR TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE NATIONAL BULLETIN. If no classification is circled, a competitor or team will be placed in the Master class.  NRA member number must filled in to validate the score.

DISTANCE & TARGET:        FIFTY (50) FEET, using the NRA A-32 Target 2 Shots per record Bull

RIFLE & SIGHTS:                 Rule 3.3, The LIGHT RIFLE, with ANY SIGHTS

ELIGIBLITY:              Open to Anyone.  A competitor (individual or team) may enter one Open Light Rifle Sectional tournament in 2020.  Competitors may enter other types of Sectionals

                                    A foreign Competitor is eligible to participate on the Sectional or National level (Rule 2.1.1), however, only U S citizens may win First, Second and Third Place National Individual and Team Championship awards.

                                    TEAMS will consist of four (4) firing members representing a club as defined by Rules 2.11 or 2.11.1, section 2.  Pick up teams (Rule 2.10) will not be allowed to participate. Since the team match is a unfired match (paper team match), all teams MUST be named BEFORE any member of the team fires his first record shot Team  members must fire their scores at the same sectional and location.

CLASSIFICATION:   The NRA Classification System will be used and competitors shall be prepared to exhibit a classification card or Temporary Score Record Book.  Unclassified competitors will fire in the Master Class if they do not have an assigned classification (Rule 19.6).  Teams will classified according to rule 19.12.

 

SOUVENIR PINS:      A pin will be furnished by NRA to each competitor

CHALLENGES:         The challenge fee will be $1.00 per bullseye.  See NRA Rule 16.1 for correct procedure.

 

ENTRIES:                  ADVANCE INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES should be made at least 5 days preceding the firing date by calling or mailing the correct entry fees indicating your preferred time of firing.  Post entries may be accepted to the range capacity.  Mail or CALL your entry to Tom Reiten at the above address.  Checks should be made payable to the Forks Rifle Club.

                                    TEAM ENTRIES must be made in person by the team captain at the range Statistical Office

MATCH FEES:     INDIVIDUAL ENTRY Fee:  $25.00

Junior Entry Fee:               $20.00

Team Match Entry Fee:  (Four Person Teams).. $20.00

RELAY TIMES:    Saturday, Feb 1       9:00AM CST,          Relay 1 (8 shooters max)

                              Additional Relays will be run at 3:00 PM CST only if the above are filled

SIGHTING SHOTS:   Unlimited sighting shots will be allowed in all matches and stages but must be taken        within the match or stage time limit.  (Rule 8.2)

                         

 

MATCH SCHEDULE: MATCH No. 1:  Individual Match - 60 shots Standing fired in THREE 20 SHOT STAGES

                                    (Two targets, two shots per bull) with a time limit of 30 minutes for each                

                                    There will be a five minute target change time allow between each stage.

 

MATCH No. 2:  The Sectional Team Championship  (An aggregate of each team                                             member’s score in match 1).

 

MATCH No. 3:  The Open National Light Rifle Individual Championship.

***There is no additional entry fee for matches No. 3 and 4.  The entry is automatic with        entry in Matches No. 1 and 2 of each Sectional Tournament

 

SECTIONAL INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS (Match 1)  -  Provided by The National Rifle Assn.

                                   

                                    WINNER:       Gold NRA Sectional Medallion  (minimum of 5 Competitors)

                                               

                                    2nd PLACE:    SILVER NRA Sectional Medallion  (minimum of 10 Competitors)

                                   

                                    3rd PLACE:    BRONZE NRA Sectional Medallion  (minimum of 15 Competitors)

                                               

INDIVIDUAL CLASS AWARDS  -  Provided by the FORKS RIFLE CLUB         

                                    Gift Certificates provided in each class, depending on the number of competitors

If there are less than 5 entries in a class they will be combined with the next higher class.  After combining the two classes, if there is still not 5 entries in the combined class, they will be combined with the next higher class.  If less than 5 Masters enter, the Masters will shoot for open awards only.  An individual winning an overall award (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) will NOT be eligible for a class or special award and that award will be passed down to the next eligible individual.
