SCORE CARDS: Special score cards will be used and MUST BE SIGNED BY THE COMPETITOR TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE NATIONAL BULLETIN. If no category is circled, a competitor or team will be placed in the Civilian category. If no classification is circled, a competitor or team will be placed in the Master class. NRA member number must filled in to validate the score.
DISTANCE & TARGET: FIFTY (50) FEET, using the NRA/USA 50 Targets
RIFLE & SIGHTS: Rule 3.2, ANY RIFLE, with ANY SIGHTS
ELIGIBLITY: OPEN TO ANYONE, Familiar with 3P shooting
A competitor (individual or team) may not enter more than one Open 3-Position Sectional tournament in 2011 A foreign Competitor is eligible to participate on the Sectional or National level (Rule 2.1.1), however, only U S citizens may win First, Second and Third Place National Individual and Team Championship awards.
A TEAM will consist of four (4) firing members representing a club affiliated with NRA (Rule 2.11 or 2.11.1), a Regular Service unit, National Guard, or Reserves (Rule 2.13). A team composed of shooters who are not all in the same category is a mixed team. Mixed teams in Sectionals or the National Championship may fire for open awards only. Pick up teams (Rule 2.10) will not be allowed to participate. Since team matches are unfired (paper team match), All teams MUST be named and entered BEFORE any member of the team begins individual firing. Alternates must also be named before firing and used to substitute only for someone who has not yet fired. Team members must fire their scores at the same sectional and location.
CATEGORIES: In Match 4 of the Sectionals, separate class awards will be given by the NRA in each of two categories – Civilian and Service (subject to the conditions of the Sectional Award Schedule). NRA rules governing categories are as follows: Service (2.5, 2.6, & 2.7) All others will compete as Civilian (2.2) The same rules also apply to the Nationals.
CLASSIFICATION: The NRA Classification System will be used and competitors shall be prepared to exhibit a classification card or Temporary Score Record Book. Unclassified competitors will fire in the Master Class if they do not have an assigned classification (Rule 19.6). Teams will classified according to rule 19.12.
SOUVENIR PINS: A pin will be furnished by NRA to each competitor.

CHALLENGES: The challenge fee will be $2.00 per bullseye. See NRA Rule 16.1 for correct procedure.
ENTRIES: INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES should be made at least 5 days preceding the firing date. Post entries may be accepted to the range capacity of 32 total competitors. Mail or Call your entry to TOM REITEN at the above address indicating the time you would like to shoot. Checks should be made payable to the Forks Rifle Club. Entries are limited to 32 competitors
TEAM ENTRIES must be made in person by the team captain at the range Statistical Office

SIGHTING SHOTS: Unlimited sighting shots will be allowed in all matches and stages but must be taken within the match or stage time limit. (Rule 8.2)
MATCH SCHEDULE: MATCH No. 1: Individual Match - 40 shots Prone (time limit, 1 minute per shot)
MATCH No. 2: Individual Match - 40 shots Standing (time limit, 2 minutes per shot)
MATCH No. 3: Individual Match - 40 shots Kneeling (time limit, 1-1/2 minutes per shot)
MATCH No. 4: The Sectional Individual Championship (An aggregate of Matches 1,2,3)
MATCH No. 5: The Sectional Team Championship (An aggregate of each team member’s score in match 4).
MATCH No. 6: The Open National NRA 3-Position Individual Championship.

***There is no additional entry fee for matches No. 6 and 7. The entry is automatic with entry in Matches No. 5 and 6 of each Sectional Tournament
FIRING PROCEEDURES: Each match will be fired in two stages (two targets each) with a time limit of half the time limit for the entire match for each stage (Match 1, 20 minutes; Match 2, 40 minutes; and Match 3, 30 minutes. A 3 minute target change time will be allow between stages.
A Five (5) break followed by a 3 minute preparation time will be allow between each match
CLASSES:
- If there is less than 5 entries in a class, no awards will be provided in that class and all the competitors in the lower class will be moved to the next higher class.
- If there are less than 5 entries in a class after combining classes, they will be combined with the next higher class.
- If there is less than 5 entries in the Master Class after combining classed and categories, there will be no awards provided in the Master Class and the Masters will shoot for Match Winner and Place Awards only
- An Individual winning an open overall award (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) will NOT be eligible for a class or special award and that award will be past down to the next eligible individual.
- Combining of classes and Categories will be used for all fired and aggregate matches

WINNER: Gold NRA Sectional Medallion (minimum of 5 Competitors)
2nd PLACE: SILVER NRA Sectional Medallion (minimum of 10 Competitors)
3rd PLACE: BRONZE NRA Sectional Medallion (minimum of 15 Competitors)

To the high scoring: Junior, Woman, Senior, Grand Senior, if there are more than Five (5) entries in that group
